Hot, Customizable Meals for Your Portland Studio Crew
From soundstage shoots in Northwest Industrial to on-location sets along the Willamette, Best Food Trucks is Portland’s go-to partner for studio food truck catering. We’ve spent years feeding film and TV crews in PDX, so we know how to keep meal breaks on time, on budget, and packed with local flavor. Our team will create rotating daily menus, coordinate truck placement in tight lots or neighborhood streets, streamline online ordering and pickup, vet every vendor for City of Portland permits and insurance, and provide a clear cost analysis that keeps the producer happy.
Need Korean BBQ for the night shoot? We’ll roll in Kim Jong Grillin straight from the Cart Blocks Pod. Craving sunrise burritos on the Eastside? Amelia's Food Cart has you covered. Want a tamale spread worthy of a wrap party? Tamale Boy never disappoints. For mole that rivals any sit-down spot on Alberta, Mole Mole Mexican Cuisine brings the heat, and if your crew needs a sweet pick-me-up between takes, Cafe de Crepe can turn a parking lot into a mini Paris.
Food truck catering for studios in Portland isn’t just delicious—it’s sustainable. Our trucks serve with reusable serviceware when possible and generate far less food and packaging waste than traditional craft services. Let Best Food Trucks handle every detail of your Portland studio catering so you can focus on getting the perfect shot.
Supporting Portland’s Small Businesses
Booking Portland studio food truck catering doesn’t just keep your cast and crew happy—it keeps Stumptown’s small-business scene thriving. Every truck we dispatch is a family-run or owner-operated venture, from the husband-and-wife team at Pidgin Hole to the single-rig dynamo behind Fifty Licks. Your catering dollars circulate right back into Portland neighborhoods like Sellwood, St. Johns, and Montavilla instead of disappearing into a national commissary budget.
Sustainability matters in the Rose City, and food trucks are the eco-friendly choice for on-set meals. Trucks sip far less power than a traditional craft-services tent, many run on biodiesel sourced in Oregon, and most vendors use compostable serviceware that fits neatly into Metro’s green-bin program. Less food waste, fewer generators humming, and more fresh, local ingredients—from Sauvie Island berries to Carlton Farms pork—mean you can feed your crew and still hit those green-production benchmarks.
The next time you’re Googling “low-budget film catering near me” while the AD calls for meal break, remember that Best Food Trucks can roll up with a fleet of PDX favorites that are good for your budget, good for Portland, and great for the planet. Let’s keep Portland filming—and eating—local.

The Mac and cheese is delicious but those ribs were soooo good. The collards were spicy and that was unexpected but the food was overall delicious

The quesadilla was a little too wet for my liking. Sour cream on top also made it messy. No chocolate on churros was disappointing. Churros were really good though.

Showed up early. Served almost 70 people, all of whom raced about the food and the guys. Would definitely have them again.

Plan to have the orders ontime. There will always be those who choose to come and order at the truck, but those who order online should be honored and not pushed back because of a hungry crowd. I feel bad for the cook and server who have to keep apologizing for not having an online order ready while they take and fill orders of those who show up unannounced
