Hot, Customizable Meals for Your Portland Studio – Ready Exactly When You Need Them
From indie shoots in the Pearl District to network series filming along the Willamette, Portland productions count on fresh, flavorful food to keep cast and crew motivated. Best Food Trucks is the trusted choice for food truck catering for studios in Portland, serving hot, made-to-order meals that please even the pickiest eaters.
We tap into the city’s legendary cart scene, rolling up fan favorites like Kim Jong Grillin for smoky Korean BBQ bowls, Amelia's Food Cart for sunrise chorizo-and-egg burritos, and Tamale Boy for unforgettable Oaxacan-style tamales. Need a richer flavor cue? Cue Mole Mole Mexican Cuisine and its signature mole sauces, then wrap the day with sweet or savory crêpes from Cafe de Crepe. These names are staples at Cart Blocks, the Alberta Arts District, and Pioneer Courthouse Square—and now they can be parked right outside your soundstage.
Our studio-focused team will handle every detail: designing rotating daily menus, determining optimal truck placement whether you’re shooting at OMSI, Cathedral Park, or a converted warehouse in Southeast, streamlining online ordering and pickup, and vetting every vendor for City of Portland permits and insurance. We also provide clear cost summaries so your line producer stays on budget.
Choosing food truck catering reduces buffet and packaging waste, keeping Portland’s green reputation intact. Let Best Food Trucks take the guesswork out of mealtime for your studio—so you can roll cameras without worrying about what’s for lunch.
Keeping Portland Weird—and Well Fed—by Backing Local Trucks
Booking food truck catering for your Portland studio does more than satisfy hungry grips and gaffers; it funnels dollars straight into the Rose City’s network of makers and doers. Nearly every rig we dispatch is a one-truck show run by a solo chef or family team—from the father-and-son duo at Mississippi Ave Smash Burgers to the husband-and-wife pastry pros behind Stumptown Doughboy. Your meal budget becomes their rent, produce order at the PSU Farmers Market, and next batch of compostable forks.
Because trucks cook on demand, they burn far less energy than a traditional buffet line and slash single-use waste—an easy win in a town that banned plastic bags before it was cool. Many vendors are already running on biodiesel or electric hookups at locations like the Portland Expo Center and North Coast sound stages, keeping CO₂ low while the creative energy stays high.
So the next time you Google “low-budget film catering in Portland,” remember that hiring a food truck feeds both your crew and the local economy. Tap Best Food Trucks and give your production a delicious, eco-smart taste of PDX.

The pizza taste great but the picture made them look bigger than the pie was and I didn't know I would have order a few more because they were small.

Nashville bourbon cheesesteak.. delicious only suggestion to put queso sauce in a separate container so the bread won't get soggy.

. The boneless wings and fries were really good but the kids burger barely had a meat patty on it. It was almost eating just bread. I know it's a kids burger but it still costs like 9 dollars.
