About True Dog Houston by Texas Catering Co.
True Dog Houston is a gourmet hot dog truck operating under Texas Catering Co. Founded by Damion Loera in 2019, we have served FIFA Fan Fest, events at NRG, Houston Rockets community events, and a recurring corporate program at Tesla, along with university, school, and private bookings across the city.
The menu runs on specialty builds. The True Dog comes loaded with classic toppings, the Danny Dog adds kimchi, and the Brisket Hot Dog and BBQ Brisket Fries are built on smoked brisket. Cheese fries, chili cheese dogs, and Load It Up add-ons let guests keep it simple or go bigger. Everything is made to order off the truck.
We are fully self contained with our own power, and we have run service windows from 30 guests to 1,500. Large crowds get a tightened menu and a second build line so the wait stays short.
True Dog is one of four concepts under Texas Catering Co., alongside Benz Burgers (Est. 24'), Kurbside Eatz (Est. 11') for Asian fusion tacos, and Rise and Shine Tacos for breakfast (Est. 24'). We can put multiple trucks on the same site under one booking, which organizers use when they want variety for a bigger crowd.

The food was prepared on time. Many of the trucks we had here did not keep up with the promised time. That makes it hard when you only have so long for lunch. The food was very good and fresh.

I had a Danny dog for the first time and it was good! It was full of flavor but not cheesy which means a lot to me because I DO NOT like cheese but I love flavor… and the fries… CHEF’S kiss!!
