Hot, Customizable Meals for Your Asheville Studio Set
Whether you’re filming a commercial along the French Broad River or shooting a feature in the shadow of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Best Food Trucks delivers the most reliable studio food truck catering in Asheville. We’ve spent years feeding crews from Biltmore Village to the River Arts District, so we know how to keep every gaffer, grip, and guest star happy—no matter their diet.
Our local team works hand-in-hand with your production office to create rotating daily menus, choose the easiest parking pads on tight mountain roads, and coordinate staggered pickups to keep meal breaks on schedule. We’ll handle the paperwork too, vetting each vendor for Buncombe County permits and insurance, then wrapping everything up in a clear cost analysis that protects your budget.
Food truck catering on set isn’t just convenient—it’s greener. By serving straight from the truck, we slash disposable packaging and cut food waste, helping your Asheville studio shoot stay sustainable.
Need crowd-pleasing options? Tap into some of the city’s favorite mobile kitchens:

Fueling Asheville’s Small Businesses
Booking an on-set food truck isn’t just the smartest move for your crew—it’s a direct investment in Asheville’s vibrant small-business scene. Nearly every truck that rolls up to your studio lot is owned by a West Asheville family, a River Arts District chef, or a South Slope start-up that sources produce from tailgate markets like North Asheville and RAD Farmers. By choosing Best Food Trucks for your Asheville studio food truck catering, you keep production dollars circulating right here in Buncombe County.
Food trucks are also an eco-forward alternative to conventional craft services. Modern rigs run on high-efficiency generators, many of our partners compost through local outfits like Danny’s Dumpster, and serving straight from the window slashes single-use plastics. Fewer chafing dishes, less landfill—more Blue Ridge green.
So the next time your production coordinator types “low-budget film catering in Asheville” into Google, skip the bland boxed lunches. Hit us up for a socially responsible, hyper-local, and seriously tasty solution that keeps both your crew and the 828 economy thriving.

Good pizza! I love the crust and the garlic is over the top! Suggestion: allow me to add sausage and extra basil to the base white pizza without adding red sauce.😉

The Ice Dreammm Truck was a hit. Strawberry Shortcake was a favorite. The employees were very friendly.

I found the cheese pizza to be salty and the margherita pizza needed more tomato sauce. The cauliflower crust was good as was the balsamic vinaigrette.

I was home and didn’t plan on going back out. I got a pop up that the Melt Machine was a few minutes away. I placed an order and left my house for a grilled cheese and tots! LOVE the Melt Machine!!!!

The sandwich and salad combination is a good value: whole sandwich and large salad. It was also very tasty.

The food was delicious. For the price it would have been nice to have an egg roll in the plate. But it was really good.

I would have preferred the fries would have been separated to later add the rest. But that's just my preference. The spring rolls and sauce were fire!! So good

For a thin crust pizza it wasn't bad. The pepperoni was a bit greasy. All in all we were decently satisfied.
