Sweetie’s BBQ has been serving up Memphis-style barbecue to the Tampa Bay area for over ten years. On a trip to Florida, we fell in love with the area and decided the Tampa area would be a great place to retire. However, we noticed one thing Florida was missing was good – home cooked barbecue made the Memphis way. Cooking and bringing joy to others with food has always been a passion of ours. If there was a cook-out with family and friends, you’d find us bringing the food…and everyone asking when we would open a restaurant. Nothing brings people together better than a good meal.

So instead of relaxing during retirement, we decided to share our love of BBQ with the Tampa Bay area.

At Sweetie’s BBQ, we want you to be so happy and full, you’ll tell all your friends and family about us. And the way we make sure that happens? By offering you genuine service and attention with slow smoked meats coated in savory dry rub. We aren’t like the other guys who measure your pulled pork to the ounce or charge extra just for sauce. We believe in offering heaping portions every time and a genuine experience you’d expect from your own family.

It always makes us happy to hear how much people enjoy our food, and we get asked on many occasions if we have a restaurant or plan on opening one up. And the truth? No way! Sweetie’s BBQ is, and always will be, a mobile smoker that can bring its good food wherever there are hungry people! Our passion is letting people try some good, original BBQ and meeting new friends. That would be hard to do if we were stuck in one location. This way, Sweetie’s can see and meet all the great people of Florida and spread the word about our smoked meats far and wide.
