Hot, Customizable Meals for Every Studio Set in Portland, ME
Whether your cameras are rolling on the cobblestones of the Old Port or capturing sunrise over Portland Head Light, Best Food Trucks delivers seamless food truck catering for Studio productions in Portland, ME. Our on-location experts coordinate breakfasts on the Eastern Prom, lobster-roll lunches along Commercial Street, and late-night snacks at Thompson’s Point—always timed perfectly with your shooting schedule.

Craving something sweet between takes? Fred's Fried Dough serves up vegan, preservative-free treats that rival any seaside carnival. And when your team wants a taste of Maine comfort, Salty Boyz plates hearty classics, while Crepe Elizabeth offers delicate, made-to-order crêpes worthy of a wrap party.
We handle it all—permits with City Hall, parking logistics on narrow Munjoy Hill streets, real-time online ordering, and transparent cost analysis that fits your production budget. Food truck catering reduces packaging waste and food waste, keeping our beloved Casco Bay just a little cleaner. Let Best Food Trucks take the guesswork out of mealtime for your studio in Portland, ME, so you can focus on getting the perfect shot.
Fueling Portland, ME’s Creative Economy One Food Truck at a Time
Booking food truck catering for your Studio set in Portland, ME doesn’t just feed the talent—it keeps our city’s indie spirit thriving. Each truck we dispatch, whether it’s stationed near the brick warehouses of Bayside or beside the soundstage on Washington Ave, is run by a local family or solo entrepreneur who lives right here in Cumberland County. Your breakfast burrito from a converted vintage Airstream helps a Munjoy Hill mom pay for her kids’ Little League fees; that late-night poutine order sends more revenue back to Maine potato farms in Aroostook.
Food trucks are also an inherently greener choice for on-location studio catering. Compact kitchens mean lower propane and electric loads than a traditional commissary, while our “order-ahead” mobile app keeps waste down to almost zero—no more trash cans overflowing on the Back Cove walking path. We compost lobster shells, recycle cooking oil into biodiesel, and source reusable serviceware whenever the shoot allows, all to keep Casco Bay blue and Fort Gorges pristine in the background of your aerial shots.
So the next time your production assistant is Googling “low-budget film catering near me” or “food truck studio catering Portland ME,” skip the generic boxed lunches and give us a call. You’ll score applause-worthy meals, support the small-business backbone of Portland, and wrap the day knowing your set left a lighter footprint on Vacationland.

This was my first time looking into getting a food truck on site to feed our employees. You guys made it very easy and so did Paul, with Doc E's BBQ! The food was delicious and everyone I talked to say the same! The portions were perfect and was a very easy process. I had the pulled pork with slaw on top for my first plate and then later on Paul gave us a pan of ribs that were phenomenal!

Food was excellent. But tried to stop serving ten minutes early to attend another event. However they served my last guest when I reminded them there were ten minutes left and at least 25 more meals that had been paid for. That was the only cause for concern because I don’t know how many other people they had refused to serve in order to clean up.

They were very timely with the order. BUT, while we were charged fully and even asked to tip before the order was delivered, they didn't uphold their end of the bargain. We were missing an entrée, meaning one of us had to trek back down to the truck to get the order properly filled.
