Hot, Customizable Studio Meals—Served Baton Rouge Style!
From the sound stages at Celtic Studios to on-location shoots along River Road, Best Food Trucks is the go-to partner for studio food truck catering in Baton Rouge. Our team has fed crews working on everything from indie films to “Hollywood South” blockbusters, so we know how to keep gaffers, grips, and talent happy—no matter how hectic the call sheet looks.
We collaborate with your production office to build rotating daily menus that spotlight the Capital City’s favorite food trucks. Imagine starting Monday with sizzling tacos from Aztecas Taco Truck, rolling into Tuesday’s soulful plates by Tre's Street Kitchen, then capping mid-week with smoky Cajun classics from Cou-Yon's BBQ. Need Southern comfort after a long night shoot? Southern Style Bistreaux has you covered. Craving authentic birria for a late-night pick-me-up? Birria & Barbacoa de Chivo Los Compadre's brings the heat.
Our Baton Rouge studio catering service handles it all: we scout the best setup spots for trucks on your backlot, streamline online ordering and fast pickup, and verify every vendor’s permits and insurance—so your production stays compliant with Louisiana film regulations. You’ll receive a clear cost analysis that fits your budget and per diem, plus you’ll generate less food and packaging waste than with traditional buffet lines.
Let Best Food Trucks take the mealtime guesswork off your call sheet. When the director yells “Cut!” your crew will yell “Geaux eat!”—and get back to set on time, satisfied and ready for the next take.
Fueling Baton Rouge’s Small Businesses—One Food Truck at a Time
Booking studio food truck catering in Baton Rouge does more than keep cast and crew fed between takes—it pours money right back into the Capital City. Nearly every truck we partner with is a family-run start-up from neighborhoods like Mid City, the Perkins Road Overpass District, and even a few LSU alumni-owned rigs that still bleed purple and gold. Each plate of jambalaya or brisket you order keeps a local dream rolling down I-10, supports homegrown jobs, and strengthens our vibrant culinary scene.
Food trucks are also lighter on Mother Nature than the old-school buffet line. Because they cook to order, trucks cut down on food waste (goodbye, soggy chafing dishes) and consume far less power than hauling in industrial kitchen equipment. Several of our Baton Rouge vendors recycle cooking oil into biodiesel, and many serve with compostable utensils—perfect for productions looking to shrink their carbon footprint along the Mississippi.
So the next time your production coordinator googles “low-budget film catering near me,” give Best Food Trucks a shout. You’ll score hot, flavorful meals on set, champion Baton Rouge’s small businesses, and keep your shoot as eco-friendly as a stroll through the LSU Lakes.

It was the best gluten-free pizza I've had since New York City and the chocolate Dubai dessert was amazing. I hope they come to Starkey ranch again soon!!

Once home, we discovered that we weren't given the broth that was to accompany the Birrias or the sauce and limes that were to accompany the tacos. Disappointing...

The brisket was a little dry. Still good but I did use more bbq sauce than I usually do on a sandwich.
